“We are thrilled to host the second annual Maestro Cares “Changing Lives, Building Dreams” Gala in New York, and honor three extraordinary individuals that have devoted so much of their time to the welfare of many children in numerous parts of the world. Hosting this event in my hometown makes the occasion even more special and I cannot wait to celebrate this important evening and share our organization’s progress with all of our attendees”, expressed Marc Anthony.

Henry Cárdenas, Maestro Cares Co-Founder added: “It is amazing to look back at where Maestro Cares Foundation was only one year ago. In April 2014 we inaugurated our first project, an orphanage that is home to over 50 boys in the Dominican Republic; our second project is currently under construction in Barranquilla Colombia; and three new projects are ready to launch in 2015 in México, Perú and Puerto Rico. None of this would have been possible without the generous support of our partners and donors.”

The evening will feature a cocktail reception, dinner, a live performance by Marc Anthony and live and silent auctions.

Tickets to the event can be purchased online by visiting www.maestrocares.org

Proceeds from the annual gala will provide essential support for Maestro Cares, a non-profit organization established to assist disadvantaged children in Latin America.

ABOUT MAESTRO CARES
The Maestro Cares Foundation was launched in January 2012 by international pop icon Marc Anthony and entrepreneur Henry Cárdenas to assist disadvantaged children throughout Latin America by creating healthy and safe environments for them to live, learn and play. Maestro Cares works to achieve this mission by providing housing, classrooms, health clinics, dining and recreational activities. Our programs create tomorrow’s leaders by instilling the confidence, enthusiasm and discipline necessary for these children to become hard-working, socially conscious adults that make a positive impact in the world through their own unique contributions.

Maestro Cares Foundation held the grand opening of its first project, Orfanato Niños de Cristo in La Romana Dominican Republic on April 2, 2014. The full service campus is now home to over 150 children. On August 14, 2014, the organization celebrated the ground breaking of our second project, an orphanage and school in Barranquilla Colombia, which will open its doors to over 200 children in April, 2015. Other projects are planned in Mexico and Peru, among others. Learn more by visiting www.maestrocares.org.
