Nice job. Speaking off the cuff- politically is difficult and especially when speaking on behalf of the president. As a door to door campaigner for Obama in 2008 (and I waited to do that since 2004!- I kept telling people I would be out there and they didn't believe!) -- as a campaigner I know the importance of your voice to the community. I live in an area that has many, many many Latino/as from different countries and I teach their children. I am not Latina, and so even when we both speak English, I'm not speaking the 'language'.... (I believe I am a suspect! in my neighbors' eyes) I think we have the same needs and the same wishes.... or close enough and who is President may impact the Latino community personally even more than it might impact others. I was inspired the first time (and all other times) I heard Obama speak... and Marc Anthony, I was inspired (!) to hear a leader - you- speak and work on behalf of our country. Keep talking.
