Anthony passes Victor Manuelle for most leaders in the Tropical Songs chart's 17-year history
Marc Anthony collects his 20th No. 1 on Tropical Songs, as "Rain Over Me," on which he's featured, rises 4-1. The song marks the first No. 1 on the survey for lead artist Pitbull.
With the coronation, Anthony passes Victor Manuelle for most leaders in the Tropical Songs chart's 17-year history.
Anthony topped Tropical Songs on his first five tries in 1995-96, beginning with the eight-week No. 1 "Te Conozco Bien." Until this week, he had last reigned with "Mi Gente" for six weeks in 2007.
"Rain" concurrently leaps 5-1 on Latin Songs (which encompasses airplay on all Latin radio formats), where the track marks Pitbull's second No. 1 and Anthony's sixth.
